11-year-old dies after being hit by truck in Montreal
Montreal Police reported that the boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later passed away.
An 11-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a truck in Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood on Monday evening.
Police received several 911 calls about the accident, which happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bernard Street and Parc Avenue.
Preliminary information suggests that the truck driver, a 28-year-old man, allegedly hit the child in the crosswalk while attempting to turn onto Bernard Street.
Montreal Police reported that the boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later passed away.
An investigation is currently underway.
