2024 Presidents Cup: Montreal restricts car traffic in the vicinity, drawing 30,000 people per day
Montreal is proud to be hosting the prestigious Presidents Cup for the second time in 17 years.
Montreal is set to host the Presidents Cup at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Île-Bizard from September 24 to 29.
The tournament is expected to attract top golfers from around the globe, with nearly 30,000 spectators attending each day.
Due to the event, vehicle access to Île-Bizard will be restricted, and street parking will not be allowed. Only cars with event stickers can enter the island, using either the Jacques-Bizard Bridge or the ferry from Laval.
“Montreal is proud to be hosting the prestigious Presidents Cup for the second time in 17 years. This international sporting event showcases the world’s best golfers and enhances Montréal’s reputation as a renowned sports city,” stated Projet Montréal member Caroline Bourgeois.
To facilitate transportation for spectators, free shuttle buses will be available from the Côte-Vertu metro station and the corner of Peel and Saint-Jacques Street in downtown Montreal.
