A 45-year-old woman was run over by her own car during a carjacking in a parking lot on York Avenue, on Saturday. The Winnipeg Police Service responded to the scene around 2:12 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident.
She sustained significant injuries and was initially transported to the hospital in unstable condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered by police in the Elmwood area. The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made at this time.
