55-year-old man charged in connection with woman's death on Montreal's South Shore
Éric Biscotti charged with arson, committing an indignity to a human body
A 55-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman on Montreal's South Shore.
Roussillon police responded to a call at a residence in Sainte-Catherine around 2 a.m. on Sunday, where they discovered the woman's body, which, according to Radio-Canada, showed signs of violence.
Éric Biscotti was arrested the same day and later appeared at the Longueuil courthouse. He faces two charges: committing an indignity to a human body and arson.
When asked about the specific reasons for the charges, including details about a possible fire, the Sûreté du Québec, which is now leading the investigation, declined to comment, stating that the investigation is ongoing.
Biscotti was scheduled to return to court on Monday morning.
