61-year-old man dead, 2 arrested in 'targeted attack' in Prince George: RCMP
Police said they were called to assault in progress at a home near city's downtown
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the death of a 61-year-old man in Prince George, B.C.
According to the RCMP, officers responded to reports of an "assault in progress" at a residence on the 2300-block of Victoria Street, near the city’s downtown, shortly after 8 p.m. PT on Monday.
Sgt. Craig Douglass stated that police discovered the man dead upon arrival and took two men into custody.
The investigation is now being led by the serious crime section, with assistance from the coroner’s office to determine the exact cause of death.
Douglass assured the public that investigators are "confident this was a targeted attack" and that there are "no further concerns for public safety."
