The record-breaking $80 million Lotto Max jackpot has been split between two winning tickets—one sold in Ontario and another in Quebec, according to the OLG.
Tuesday night's draw saw a fortunate winner from Grey County, Ontario, and another from Quebec each take home $40 million.
The winning numbers for the draw were: 02, 04, 11, 16, 25, 29, 47, with 34 as the bonus number, as listed on the OLG website.
Due to high ticket sales, the number of maxmillion prizes reached 24, according to OLG.
In Ontario, four maxmillions tickets were sold: one each in Guelph, Whitby, Toronto, and on OLG.ca.
Additionally, OLG reported that an Encore prize worth $1 million was sold in the Greater Sudbury Area, with two more Encore tickets worth $100,000 sold in Toronto and on OLG.ca. A Lotto Max Second Prize ticket, valued at $293,334.10, was sold in Peterborough County.
The next Lotto Max jackpot draw on Friday will be worth $22 million.
Earlier this week, OLG also announced the winners of the $70 million Lotto Max draw from August 20. A couple from Iroquois Falls, Ontario, who had just returned home from a Toronto hospital after the birth of their baby, discovered they had won the massive prize.
Kyle Murray, 39, purchased his very first lottery ticket at an Esso station on Algonquin Boulevard in Timmins, Ontario. After scanning the ticket on the OLG app, the couple heard the ‘Winner/Gagnant’ sound and realized they had hit the jackpot.
