Acetaminophen among Health Canada recalls from Canadian pharma brand
“Affected lots may contain overweight or underweight tablets,” the notice said.
Health Canada has announced a recall of vitamins and medications produced by Canadian pharmaceutical company JAMP Pharma, according to recall notices issued by the health agency.
The recall notice warns that "affected lots may contain tablets that are either overweight or underweight."
Among the products recalled are JAMP's Vitamin D3 10,000-unit tablets, specifically lot numbers EG24CHH002, EG24CHI001, EG24CHI002, and EG24CHI003.
A recall was also issued for JAMP's acetaminophen, including both the regular strength 325 mg tablets and the extra strength 500 mg tablets. Acetaminophen, also known as paracetamol in some countries, is commonly used to relieve pain and reduce fever. It is often taken by individuals with conditions like headaches and osteoarthritis.
Additionally, JAMP's telmisartan tablets, available in 40 mg and 80 mg doses, have been recalled. Telmisartan is typically prescribed to treat mild to moderate high blood pressure and, in some cases, to lower the risk of death from heart attacks or strokes.
Health Canada advises users to check if their product is part of the recall and to consult their healthcare provider before stopping use or if they have any concerns. The notice also encourages users to contact JAMP Pharma directly for questions about the recall and to report any side effects or complaints to Health Canada.
