After ousting former CFO, RBC makes interim finance chief permanent
Gibson has been serving as the bank’s interim CFO since April following the ouster of Nadine Ahn.
The Royal Bank of Canada announced on Thursday that Katherine Gibson has been appointed as the permanent Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
Gibson had been serving as interim CFO since April, following the departure of Nadine Ahn.
Ahn was dismissed after an internal investigation revealed she was involved in an undisclosed personal relationship with another executive, which allegedly resulted in preferential treatment, including promotions and salary increases.
Ahn has denied the accusations and has filed a lawsuit against Canada's largest bank, seeking nearly C$50 million for wrongful termination.
