Amber Alert issued in Quebec, Ontario for missing 5-year-old boy
The alert said the suspect is 65-year-old Ruixue Yang, a woman who is also a resident of Brossard. There is no word if there is a relationship between the suspect and the young boy.
An Amber Alert has been issued in both Quebec and Ontario for a 5-year-old boy who went missing in Brossard, a suburb in the Greater Montreal Area.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the provincial police service, the boy, named Getty Shi Gao, was last seen around 6 p.m. on Monday. The alert was issued early Tuesday morning.
The alert was extended to Ontario just before 7:30 a.m., as authorities believe the boy may have been taken to that province.
Getty is described as being three feet, six inches tall and weighing approximately 88 pounds.
Police are also searching for a white 2024 Tesla Model 3 with Ontario license plate number GVMK 536.
The suspect is identified as 65-year-old Ruixue Yang, a woman who also resides in Brossard. It is currently unclear what relationship, if any, exists between the suspect and the child.
Anyone with information or who may have seen the boy or the vehicle is urged to call 911.
