An Ottawa man is accused of sexual assault; further victims might exist
Police say once the victim was inside the vehicle, the accused drove her to a secluded location, prevented her from leaving, and sexually assaulted her.
A local man is facing sexual assault charges after an investigation involving a business he owned.
According to the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), a woman applied for a job at the business over the summer, and the accused insisted on an in-person interview inside his vehicle.
Police say once the victim was inside the vehicle, the accused drove her to a secluded location, prevented her from leaving, and sexually assaulted her.
Canpolat Sahin, 37, of Ottawa, faces the following charges:
Sexual assault (two counts)
Forcible confinement
Ottawa police are concerned there could be more victims, as Sahin owns two businesses. Those businesses are Polat Construction and Azra Turkish Restaurant.
