As the rainy weather moves through, the GTA and Toronto are under a rainfall warning
Showers will continue on Wednesday as temperatures are expected to stay seasonal for the rest of the week. Meteorologist Jessie Uppal has your forecast.

The widespread rainfall warning for Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) was lifted on Wednesday morning after heavy overnight rain.

Environment Canada had issued the alert on Tuesday, warning that the system could bring up to 50 millimetres of rain in some areas.

Special weather statements were also in place for regions like Hamilton, Barrie-Collingwood-Hillsdale, and Windsor, but those have since been lifted.

The rain eased early Wednesday, though there remains a chance of scattered thunderstorms later in the day, which could result in an additional 2-5 millimetres of rainfall.

Sunshine is expected to return on Thursday, with Toronto's forecast showing a high of 22°C and a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will cool slightly on Friday, with a high of 20°C and similar conditions.
