Calgary Wild FC women’s pro soccer team announce CEO, CFO
Wild FC is one of six teams in the new Northern Super League slated to start in April 2025 alongside clubs in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.
Calgary Wild FC has appointed Lara Murphy as the women’s pro soccer team’s inaugural chief executive officer, while Lisa Oldridge has been named the chief financial and operating officer.
Wild FC is one of six teams participating in the new Northern Super League, which is set to launch in April 2025 alongside clubs from Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver. Calgary is also expected to announce its first player signing this week.
Murphy, who played university soccer at Mount Allison in New Brunswick, co-owns a construction company in Calgary. Oldridge has a background in equity capital markets and has spent the last ten years advising boards of venture capital funds.
The immediate focus for Murphy and Oldridge will be to hire coaches and team staff, as well as to finalize player signings.
