Charges brought in the OPP's drug trafficking probe
Sean White, 44, and Kylie Carson, 39, both from Athens, have been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic.
Two individuals are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in a small town south of Smiths Falls.
The Ontario Provincial Police East Region street crime unit launched the investigation earlier this year, leading to the execution of a search warrant on September 18 at a residence on Main Street in Athens, Ont., as well as at three vehicles.
During the search, officers seized over 14 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately eight grams of suspected fentanyl, a quantity of suspected cocaine, and some unidentified pills. Additionally, over $1,000 in cash was confiscated.
Sean White, 44, and Kylie Carson, 39, both from Athens, have been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to traffic.
Carson also faces an additional possession charge and was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled in Brockville on October 18, 2024. White was held for a bail hearing on September 18.
The investigation involved the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and Biker Enforcement Unit.
