Death of a teenage girl in collision north of Lethbridge
The RCMP confirmed that a 14-year-old passenger from Diamond City in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
A teenage girl died following a crash at a rural intersection near Lethbridge on Tuesday morning.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at Township Road 102 and Range Road 221, about 15 kilometers north of Lethbridge, at approximately 9:40 a.m. after reports of a collision between two vehicles.
The RCMP confirmed that a 14-year-old passenger from Diamond City in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Roads in the area were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
