On Monday, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board announced its plan to invoke the interrupter clause to adjust diesel prices due to changes in the market.
As of midnight, diesel prices increased by nine cents, bringing the cost to 168.7 cents per litre.
Gasoline prices were not affected by this adjustment.
