Edmonton election campaign period now open for candidates
Candidates must file their notice with Edmonton elections to be listed on the public register of candidates and to seek campaign contributions.
The campaign period for the 2025 Edmonton Election has officially begun, allowing prospective candidates for City Council and the boards of trustees for the Edmonton Public School Board and Edmonton Catholic Separate School Division to submit their notice of intent to run.
Candidates must file their notice with Edmonton elections to be listed on the public register of candidates and to seek campaign contributions.
Local political parties and candidate slates can also apply for registration to participate in the election.
