Elon Musk offers to give Taylor Swift ‘a child’ in bizarre debate post

Elon Musk doesn't seem to be responding well to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for president.

After the presidential debate between Harris and Donald Trump on Tuesday evening, Swift took to social media to declare her support for the Harris/Walz ticket in the upcoming election.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she stated.

She praised Harris for “fighting for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” adding that she views Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and believes the country can achieve much more under calm leadership rather than chaos.

Swift ended her post with the sign-off “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady,” a reference to a disparaging comment made by JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, about Democratic politicians without biological children.

Shortly after, Musk responded on X (formerly Twitter, which he acquired in 2022): “Fine Taylor… you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” he wrote.

Musk, who has 12 known children and has long supported Donald Trump, has expressed concerns about declining birth rates.

His remarks to Swift, the world’s biggest pop star, drew criticism on social media, with some suggesting his comments veered into “harassment.”

Musk has not yet addressed the backlash publicly.

A spokesperson for the Trump campaign dismissed Swift’s endorsement.

“This is further evidence that the Democrat party has unfortunately become a party of the wealthy elites,” said Karoline Leavitt. “There’s many Swifties for Trump out there in America.”

In a Fox and Friends interview on Wednesday morning, Trump echoed similar sentiments about Swift's support for Harris, calling the debate “rigged” and commenting, “She’s a very liberal person, she always seems to endorse a Democrat and she will probably pay the price for that in the market.”
