Final results of the B.C. election to come Monday

Elections BC is set to release the final results of the provincial vote on Monday, as the tightest margins continue to unfold.
Late Sunday saw the results of two recounts, while mail-in and assisted telephone votes were counted over the weekend in undecided ridings. Despite some shifts in tallies, the overall results remained unchanged.
In the Kelowna Centre recount, the BC Conservatives lost a few votes but still lead the BC NDP by 68 votes, down from a previous margin of 72.
Meanwhile, in Surrey City Centre, the NDP has increased their lead to 175 votes over the Conservatives.
The recount in Juan de Fuca-Malahat is ongoing, with Elections BC processing approximately 22,000 absentee and special ballots to resolve all remaining undecided races by the end of the day.

To secure a majority government, a party must control 47 seats in the B.C. Legislature. As of now, the standings have not shifted since the Oct. 19 vote, which saw the New Democrats leading or elected in 46 ridings, the BC Conservatives in 45, and the Greens with two elected MLAs.
