Five-year-old Quebec boy subject of Amber Alert found safe in Toronto area: police
An Amber Alert is set in motion when a child has been reported abducted and is believed to be in danger.
Quebec provincial police have announced that a five-year-old boy from a Montreal suburb, who was the subject of an Amber Alert, has been safely located.
The boy was found this morning in York Region, north of Toronto.
According to Quebec police, he is unharmed and will be returned to Quebec. Authorities are currently questioning the 65-year-old woman suspected of abducting him from Brossard, a city south of Montreal.
The Amber Alert was issued around 4 a.m., indicating that the boy and the woman were traveling in a Tesla Model 3 with Ontario license plates.
Ontario Provincial Police were notified of the Amber Alert early on, under the assumption that the pair was heading towards Ontario.
