Halifax woman's unsolved murder case still open
Her remains were discovered on March 12 in a wooded area close to Elliot Street in Dartmouth.
The Halifax Regional Police (HRP) continue to investigate the murder of Sheila Madore.
Madore, who was 48 at the time, was last seen near Gottingen Street in Halifax on July 23, 2020. She was reported missing on October 8 of the same year by an outreach nurse.
Her remains were discovered on March 12 in a wooded area close to Elliot Street in Dartmouth.
In a previous news release, HRP stated, "It is never too late to come forward, and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation."
Madore’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a cash reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
