Halton police arrest gang connected to $3 million worth of stolen cars in the GTA
According to police, the stolen vehicles were being taken from the GTA to be sold overseas.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a group of individuals involved in a series of auto thefts across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with the stolen vehicles valued at over $3 million.
As part of Project Ninja, a three-month investigation, authorities aimed to dismantle what they described as "a sophisticated auto theft ring" operating in Halton and the broader GTA.
Eight suspects were apprehended as a result of the investigation. According to police, the stolen vehicles were being taken from the GTA to be sold overseas.
