Hamilton appeals millions in damages, injunction over flooding at National Steel Car
Court ordered Hamilton in July to fix a flood-prone channel on the bayfront.
Hamilton is looking to appeal the millions of dollars in court-ordered damages and stormwater repairs after being found partially liable for ongoing flooding at National Steel Car.
The bayfront railcar manufacturer, which originally filed a lawsuit against the city in 2012 and subsequently involved neighboring steelmaker ArcelorMittal Dofasco in the case, stated in an email that it is “confident” the appeal will be rejected.
