A police chase on Highway 40 ended in a major crash Thursday evening.
A high-speed police chase on Highway 40 culminated in a serious collision on Thursday evening.
According to Quebec provincial police, two vehicles suspected of being stolen were spotted on the highway in Vaudreuil-Dorion, located west of Montreal, at around 8 p.m. Officers from the Sûreté du Québec attempted to stop the vehicles, but the drivers chose to flee, prompting a pursuit.
The chase concluded on Côte-de-Liesse Road when the two vehicles lost control and collided with each other. Following the crash, the drivers attempted to escape on foot but were quickly apprehended by authorities.
One of the suspects is a minor, while the other is a 20-year-old man. Both were arrested and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
