Leafs announce Oreo as new helmet sponsor
The new helmet will debut Sunday when Toronto opens its 2024-25 pre-season against the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have revealed that cookie brand Oreo will be the team's helmet sponsor for the upcoming NHL season.
Fans will get their first look at the new helmets on Sunday, as Toronto kicks off its 2024-25 pre-season against the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena. The Oreo logo will take the place of Pizza Pizza, the Canadian restaurant chain that sponsored the Leafs' helmets last season.
Before that, the Leafs had TikTok as their helmet sponsor starting in the 2021-22 regular season, when the NHL first permitted teams to sell advertising space on helmets.
Oreo, a cookie made up of two chocolate biscuits with a white icing center, is often enjoyed with milk.
Appropriately, the Leafs also wear the Dairy Farmers of Ontario's "Milk" logo on their jerseys.
