Man in hospital after fight in Pointe-Claire
The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived on the scene.
A 47-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being struck with a blunt object during a fight in Pointe-Claire on Tuesday night. Montreal police (SPVM) were alerted around 8:50 p.m. to reports of alleged gunfire on Parkdale Avenue near Saint-Louis Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the man with injuries to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.
“According to initial information, a conflict escalated between several people,” said SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils. The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived on the scene.
A security perimeter was established to allow investigators to analyze the area. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
