Man killed in fight become Montreal’s 23rd homicide victim of the year

Montreal police have launched an investigation after a man in his 50s was killed during a violent altercation on Wednesday.
Officers discovered the victim unconscious around 8 p.m. in the St-Michel neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the man was involved in a conflict with another individual who fled the scene. The cause of the altercation remains unclear.
An arrest was made early Thursday, though police have not released any details about the suspect.
