Man sought for murder in Ontario realtor’s death fled to Hong Kong

Police report that a man wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Toronto-area woman has fled Canada.
York Regional Police confirmed that 47-year-old Zhixiong Marko Hu, of Markham, has traveled to Hong Kong, according to border officials.
The victim, 56-year-old Yuk-Ying Anita Mui from Markham, Ontario, was reported missing by her family on August 9. Her burned remains were later discovered in Parry Sound, Ontario.
Police believe Mui disappeared from a location in Stouffville, Ontario, where she was involved in a real estate transaction, and they suspect she was specifically targeted.
York Regional Police have announced that Hu is charged with first-degree murder, and a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Investigators are now planning to apply to Interpol for a red notice, which is a request for law enforcement agencies around the world to locate and provisionally arrest the suspect.
