Minor damage after Montreal business targeted by fire
The force received a 911 call at 2:15 a.m. about the incident on Wellington Street near Charon Street.
Montreal police (SPVM) are investigating a possible arson incident targeting a business in the Sud-Ouest area early Wednesday morning.
Authorities received a 911 call at 2:15 a.m. regarding the situation on Wellington Street near Charon Street.
"Upon arrival, officers found a smashed window and an incendiary object on the floor," stated Mariane Allaire Morin, a spokesperson for the police.
The damage to the business was reported to be minor.
"The site is being secured as this is considered a criminal incident," added Allaire Morin. At this time, there are no suspects, witnesses, or reported injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
