Montreal metro times to be extended on New Year’s Eve
Montrealers bringing in 2025 away from home will be able to catch a train later than normal on New Year’s Eve.
Montrealers celebrating the arrival of 2025 away from home will benefit from extended metro schedules on New Year’s Eve, providing a safe and convenient way to return home after the festivities.
The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) announced that the green, orange, and yellow metro lines will operate on extended hours to accommodate those attending the fireworks display in the Old Port or celebrating elsewhere in the city.
On January 1, the final departures for the metro lines will be as follows:
- Green Line:
- Last train from Angrignon to Honoré-Beaugrand departs at 2:42 a.m., arriving at 3:17 a.m.
- Last train from Honoré-Beaugrand to Angrignon departs at 2:45 a.m., arriving at 3:20 a.m.
- Orange Line:
- Last train from Côte-Vertu to Montmorency departs at 2:37 a.m., arriving at 3:22 a.m.
- Last train from Montmorency to Côte-Vertu departs at 2:40 a.m., arriving at 3:25 a.m.
- Yellow Line:
- Last train from Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke to Berri-UQAM departs at 2:50 a.m., arriving at 3:00 a.m.
- Last train from Berri-UQAM to Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke departs at 3:00 a.m., arriving at 3:06 a.m.
The STM confirmed that the blue line’s schedule will remain unchanged.
After metro service concludes for the night, Montrealers can still rely on all-night bus services to continue their journey.
