Closures of Route 132 and Marie-Victorin Boulevard, in the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge area in Brossard, are planned for the weekend of Oct. 18-21.

The closures are required in order to carry out repairs on an overpass, the province says.

Closures are scheduled from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

Towards Longueuil

Complete closure of Route 132 and Marie-Victorin Boulevard eastbound, between exit 53 (Samuel-De Champlain Bridge in Brossard) and the next entrance, near Simard Boulevard in Saint-Lambert.

Access to the bridge and Highway 10 will remain possible, but heavy congestion is expected in the area.

Towards La Prairie

Users will have to take Highway 10 eastbound (towards Sherbrooke) or continue on Route 132 westbound. The detour routes will be marked with temporary signage.

To more easily access the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge during this closure, regular users of Route 132 are asked to take Highway 10 from Highway 30. Using public transit to get to downtown Montreal is also an alternative to consider.

A second weekend closure is also expected in the area this fall and will be announced when confirmed.

Ville-Marie Expressway (Route 136)

Ville-Marie Expressway (Route 136) will be closed eastbound between the Turcot Interchange and downtown during the weekend of Oct. 18.

The closure is required for the relocation of a major drain, and some repair work.

Congestion is expected.

The detours will be marked with temporary signage.

This closure will be required again this fall.
