Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today that Macron will be in Canada on Wednesday and Thursday after both leaders attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Trudeau will greet Macron in Ottawa on Wednesday, where they are expected to address geopolitical collaboration, including their continued support for Ukraine.
They will also explore ways to enhance responses to emerging threats like disinformation.
In Montreal, Trudeau plans to highlight the city’s artificial intelligence sector, as both nations reaffirm their commitment to responsible AI use.
Additionally, the leaders will discuss promoting the French language in advance of the Francophonie summit scheduled in France next month.
