Oasis confirms Canadian show as part of 2025 reunion tour
After much speculation the Britpop behemoth would be performing in the country, the English rock band confirmed Monday it would play the new-announced Rogers Stadium in Toronto on Aug. 24, 2025.
Oasis is officially heading to Canada, with the iconic Britpop band set to perform at Toronto's newly announced Rogers Stadium on August 24, 2025. After months of speculation, the band confirmed the date on Monday.
Known for dominating the British music scene in the 1990s with hits like Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger, Oasis became famous for their singalong rock anthems and the fiery dynamic between guitarist-songwriter Noel Gallagher and his brother, lead singer Liam Gallagher.
The band famously split in 2009 when Noel walked out following a backstage altercation with Liam at a festival near Paris. Since then, the Gallagher brothers haven’t performed together but continue to play Oasis songs in their solo careers while publicly trading jabs.
Earlier this summer, Oasis announced their reunion, promising fans “the spark and intensity” only found when the Gallaghers share a stage. The tour kicked off in the UK on July 4 and 5. The band also hinted at future performances outside of Europe. On Monday, they confirmed additional shows in Chicago, East Rutherford, N.J., Los Angeles, and Mexico City, with U.S. rock band Cage the Elephant opening all dates.
Ticketmaster opened the portal for the Toronto show, with pre-sales starting on October 3 at 2 p.m. Eastern. General sales begin October 4 at Noon Eastern.
This Toronto show will mark Oasis’s first return to the city since their July 2008 appearance at the now-defunct V-Festival.
The concert will take place at Rogers Stadium, an open-air venue in North York with a capacity of 50,000, located at the former Downsview Airport site next to Downsview Park. Announced last week, the stadium will host its first events in June 2025.
Erik Hoffman, an executive at Live Nation Canada, described the venue as designed for mega-artists, with enhanced food, beverage options, and an upgraded fan experience.
