Ontario woman wanted in $800,000 fraud investigation
She faces multiple charges, including 10 counts of fraud over $5,000, eight counts of making false statements to procure money, and 10 counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime exceeding $5,000.
Toronto police are seeking 33-year-old Jodi-Ann Bonnick, who is wanted in connection with a significant fraud investigation.
Bonnick allegedly deceived an individual regarding a fake business deal, resulting in the victim placing nine orders for goods worth over $800,000 in 2022, none of which were ever delivered.
She faces multiple charges, including 10 counts of fraud over $5,000, eight counts of making false statements to procure money, and 10 counts of possession of proceeds obtained by crime exceeding $5,000.
Bonnick previously operated a West Indian grocery store and has faced similar fraud charges in Jamaica, where she allegedly defrauded a businesswoman out of JMD$3.2 million (approximately $27,000 CAD).
Police are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
