Petrol prices in Toronto and the GTA will rise significantly on Saturday

Gas prices in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have been relatively low for some time, but that’s set to change this weekend.
According to Roger McKnight, Chief Petroleum Analyst at En-Pro International Inc., prices are expected to rise by four cents on Saturday, October 5, reaching 152.9 cents per litre at most stations.
This will be the highest gas price in a month, with the last peak occurring on September 4 at 154.9 cents per litre.
From September 28 to October 2, drivers in Toronto and the GTA enjoyed five consecutive days of gas priced at 145.9 cents per litre, the lowest daytime price since February.
In comparison, September’s monthly high was 154.9 cents per litre, while August saw prices reach as high as 167.9 cents per litre. July experienced even steeper rates, with a monthly maximum of 170.9 cents per litre and a low of 164.9 cents per litre.
