McGill ordered to stop obstructing union of law professors
The law professors’ union was certified in November 2022 by the labour tribunal, but the university will challenge that certification during a Quebec Superior Court hearing in December.

Quebec’s labour tribunal has directed McGill University to cease obstructing and interfering with the union that represents full-time law professors.

According to a decision dated August 30, the tribunal determined that the university likely breached the Quebec Labour Code by sending two emails to law professors that criticized the union.
