Quebec police want public's help locating missing 12-year-old girl
Amélia Lapa was last seen on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m. in Lavaltrie, Que.
Provincial police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 12-year-old Amélia Lapa, who has gone missing from the Lanaudière region.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reports that Amélia was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Douaire-de-Bondy Street in Lavaltrie, a town roughly 60 kilometres northeast of Montreal.
Authorities say her loved ones are concerned for her well-being, and investigators believe she is travelling on foot.
Amélia is described as being 5'2" tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a cropped navy blue shirt, a navy blue cotton wool sweater, grey leggings, and white Nike Air Force shoes.
