Significant road closure following a single vehicle rollover that damages Calgary's LRT signal boxes

An early morning single-car rollover is expected to cause delays for Calgary commuters on Friday.
Duty Inspector Christa Ryan reported that the accident occurred just after midnight at the intersection of 36 Street and 39 Avenue NE.
The vehicle damaged several LRT signal boxes, causing the transit crossing arms to remain stuck in the down position at the 44 Avenue and 39 Avenue intersections along 36 Street NE.
The driver fled the scene on foot, and no injuries have been reported.
Although train services are still running, 44 Avenue NE at 36 Street NE has been closed in both directions.
