SQ arrest man in connection to fatal hit-and-run in Montreal
Several vehicles were damaged, and a 19-year-old man died in the collision.
A 21-year-old man was arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and Longueuil police (SPAL) in connection to an alleged hit-and-run, along with possessing burglary tools.
The suspect, Yasser Laroui, was arrested on Wednesday morning.
According to police, Laroui was involved in a collision on June 30 on Décarie South Road, on the ramp heading towards the 136 East in Montreal.
Several vehicles were damaged, and a 19-year-old man died in the collision.
Laroui faces charges of dangerous operations of a motor vehicle, failure to stop following an accident-causing death and possession of burglary tools that could be used to steal vehicles.
The suspect is scheduled to appear at the Montreal courthouse later this afternoon.
