SQ arrest man in connection to fatal hit-and-run in Montreal
He was arrested on Wednesday morning and is scheduled to appear at the Montreal courthouse later today.
A 21-year-old man, Yasser Laroui, was arrested by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and Longueuil police (SPAL) in connection to an alleged hit-and-run incident that occurred on June 30.
The collision took place on Décarie South Road, near the ramp heading towards Highway 136 East in Montreal, where several vehicles were damaged, and a 19-year-old man tragically lost his life.
Laroui faces several charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop following an accident resulting in death, and possession of burglary tools, which could be used to steal vehicles.
