Stretch of sunny skies, warmer temperatures on the way for Toronto

You'll want to grab your sunglasses for the end of the week as sunny skies and warmer temperatures are expected to return to Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Although cooler weather will persist through Wednesday, a gradual warming trend is set to bring daytime highs back to around 20°C by the weekend, with no rain in sight until at least next week.
Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 14°C in Toronto, followed by a warmer 18°C on Friday. The weekend is shaping up to be exceptional for late October, with a ridge of high pressure over southern Ontario potentially pushing temperatures to 20°C on both Saturday and Sunday. While forecasts can change, it looks like an ideal time to enjoy outdoor activities.
This warm and sunny weather will also extend to nearby cities like Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, and Hamilton.
However, nighttime temperatures will remain chilly, dropping to 3°C or 4°C on Thursday and Friday nights.
Before the warm-up, Wednesday will be cooler with a high of just 10°C in Toronto, and regions like Vaughan and Barrie may stay in the single digits throughout the day.
