A 16-year-old boy was shot in a Scarborough high school parking lot on Monday morning, leading to lockdowns at six nearby schools, according to police.
Three of the schools have since moved to "hold and secure" mode, meaning that while exterior doors are locked, normal activities continue inside, as stated on the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) website.

The boy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police reported.
