The heat on Wednesday surpasses a 125-year-old record in the Halifax region

The temperature reached 29.5°C in the Shearwater area, surpassing the previous September 18 record of 28.9°C set in 1899.

Environment Canada reported that Wednesday’s heat in the Halifax area broke a 125-year-old record.

The temperature reached 29.5°C in the Shearwater area, surpassing the previous September 18 record of 28.9°C set in 1899.

Records for this area have been maintained since 1871.

At Halifax Stanfield International Airport, the temperature hit 29°C, breaking the previous record of 28.6°C set in 2015.
