Third suspect in Scarborough stabbing case detained on first-degree murder accusation
Police responded to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, the victim, identified as 51-year-old Clayton Hunte of Toronto, was pronounced dead.
Toronto police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Scarborough last weekend.
The incident took place during an altercation in an underground parking lot at 20 Brimwood Boulevard, near Brimley Road and McNicoll Avenue, just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 18.
Police responded to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, the victim, identified as 51-year-old Clayton Hunte of Toronto, was pronounced dead.
On Thursday, police issued a warrant for 20-year-old Nelson Luong of Markham, wanted for first-degree murder. He has since surrendered to authorities.
Two other suspects have also been charged with first-degree murder. On Monday, police arrested 22-year-old Davon Christopher Knight, and on Wednesday, 23-year-old Haywood Chan of Markham was taken into custody.
