The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is searching for a man accused of attempting to abduct a child and sexually assaulting another youth at a swimming pool in Scarborough's Heron Park Community Centre.
Police responded to the incident on August 25, around 1:45 p.m., at the community centre near Lawrence Avenue East and Manse Road.
According to police, the suspect was in the pool with the victims when he approached a child and attempted to start a conversation.
He then grabbed the child and tried to pull them away, but the child's mother intervened.
The same man later approached another child, engaged in conversation, and sexually assaulted the youth before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, with short black hair shaved on the sides and a black beard.
He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a Lionel Messi Argentina soccer jersey, and black shorts. Police have released his photo.
