Woman, 84, critically injured in hit-and-run involving school bus north of Toronto

An 84-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a school bus driver who fled the scene in Richmond Hill.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, near Yonge Street, just north of Silverwood Avenue.
The woman sustained a head injury and was initially transported to a local hospital.
Her condition has since worsened, and she is now recovering in a trauma center.
York Regional Police (YRP) responded to the scene and noted that the driver of the school bus fled after the incident, although they have since identified the individual involved.
